Build Your Credibility Indicator — It Matters!

Every successful business and career person has one or two things that make them credible.

Let’s define credibility as the feeling of trust and respect that you inspire in others, say your employer, customers, or target audience.

When communicated well, credibility will always improve trust with your target audience, convert them into real customers, and get more sales.

People do business with you to the extent that they trust that you are credible.

For a business or an enterprise, its credibility indicators can come from testimonials, positive reviews, referrals, awards and recognitions, and the like.

As a career man or woman, your credibility indicators come from how skilled you are in your line of work, and how you are honing those skills in a dynamic marketplace.

Someone wrote, ‘It is possible to know all there is to know about a subject — medicine, for example — but if you don’t have M.D. at the end of your name, few will listen. The M.D. is your credibility indicator.’

It’s been proven that the so-called expert with the most credibility indicators is often the most successful in the marketplace.

The next phase of your career will depend on building your credibility indicator(s). And it will hinge on that certification, training, volunteering, skilling up that you need to do, or that professional body you need to join.

Again, building credibility indicators is a matter of superior positioning. Remember, credibility has a snowball effect.

So, start building your credibility indicators if you truly want your business and career to shoot to the moon!
